拉明·珊拿
拉明·珊拿（英語：Lamin Sanneh，1942年5月24日—2019年1月6日），美国基督教学者，耶魯大學但以理·威利斯·詹姆斯宣教和世界基督教教授 [1]（英語：Daniel Willis James Professor of Missions and World Christianity）和歷史教授。[2]他也是耶魯-愛丁堡群組 （页面存档备份，存于互联网档案馆）的創辦人。

生平
珊拿在甘比亞長大。他於伯明罕大學和貝魯特近東神學院（英語：Near East School of Theology, Beirut）修學後，於倫敦大學完成回教歷史博士學位。及後, 他寫了若干有關回教和基督教關係的書籍及文章，題名包括：《信仰與權力：基督教與回教在世俗化英國》（英語：Faith and Power: Christianity and Islam in "Secular" Britain）、 《王冠與頭巾：回教徒與西非多元主義》（英語：The Crown and the Turban: Muslims and West African Pluralism）和《敬虔與權力：回教徒與基督徒在西非》（英語：Piety and Power: Muslims and Christians in West Africa）。[1]珊拿後來由回教改信至基督教，現在是個天主教徒。[3][4]
除了回教與基督教關係的研究外，珊拿另一個重要的學術領域是世界基督教。他寫了許多有關翻譯基督教訊息的文章，及批評現今學術機構多把宣教史照單全收。他在1989年出版的《翻譯訊息》（英語：Translating the Message）曾這樣寫道：
「基督教由歐洲擴張至亞洲和非洲等地的擴展現象能打破西方文化的限制，情況有如從前教會宣教中心由耶路撒冷擴展至安提阿及以外地域一樣。從某些觀點而論，這種轉移為前所未見，這是因為許多複雜的母語令它們成為今日宣教的焦點，而這也令在這些地域的宣教不受古時西方城市價值觀影響。不管怎樣，宣教與從前的使徒時代仍有相當密切的關係。如要研究現代宣教時期，我們需注意土著文化（英語：Indigenous Culture），及以本地與現代西方文化交流為重。宣教士翻譯的角色令他們成為母語使用者的夥伴和殖民主義的抗衡者。」[5]
他把這些對歷史的反思整合在他2008年出版的《萬國的門徒》（英語：Disciples of all Nations）中。
另外，珊拿曾在多間大學教學，如甘比亞大學、阿巴丁大學、哈佛大學和由1989年教學至今的耶魯大學。他曾當雜誌《基督徒世紀》（英語：The Christian Century）的編輯, 也曾當數本期刊的編輯委員會成員。據耶魯大學網頁所說，他是倫敦大學亞非學院的榮譽研究教授，也是劍橋大學克萊爾學堂的活躍成員。他曾當哈佛大學倫理與公共事務部和位於阿拉巴馬州的伯明罕民權中心（英語：Birmingham Civil Rights Institute）的委員會成員。他也是塞內加爾國家中校勛章（法語：Commandeur de l'Ordre National du Lion）持有人，是塞內加爾最高的榮銜。他又是科學歷史主教委員會（英語：Pontifical Commission of the Historical Sciences）和回教宗教關係主教委員會的成員之一。珊拿也曾獲愛丁堡大學榮譽博士。他現是美國公民。[2][3]
於2018年，加納大學開設了一個以他命名的研究中心，以擴展非洲的宗教與社會研究。[6]
珊拿於2019年1月6日因主動脈剝離導致嚴重中風死亡。[7]
家庭
他的妻子桑德拉·珊拿（英語：Sandra Sanneh）是耶魯大學的祖魯語教授。他們的兒子科勒法·珊拿 (英語：Kelefa Sanneh）現為《紐約客》撰寫與有關文化的文章。
