早年

德鲁罗生于佛罗里达州迈阿密，[1]父母均来自海地。他的姓氏为法语Desrouleaux，但为了更好拼读，他用英语近似地拼写了法语发音（法语发音：[deʁuˈlo]），即现在的艺名姓氏Derulo。[2]

德鲁罗5岁时便开始表演。在8岁时谱写了自己的第一首歌《Crush on You》，在一次接受Galaxy FM的采访时，他演唱了该曲的片段。德鲁罗在幼年时接受了歌剧、戏剧和芭蕾的训练。他曾就读于佛罗里达劳德尔堡的迪拉德高中（Dillard High School），并曾就读于纽约的美国音乐与戏剧学院（American Musical and Dramatic Academy）。

2011：《Future History》
