I wonder that embassy is page for foreigner who can’t speak Chinese language. So many other embassy of wikipedia are wrote down by many language. But this Chinese embassy is wrote just to use Chinese even ambassador list. If someone – who has question about Chinese wikipedia – want to find ambassador, who can speak same first language, to find them, is hard because the Chinese embassy is written by only Chinese language. Foundation Images Policy

I am Yosri from Malay Wikipedia. Recently I was informed by certain parties that MS Wiki need to delete any images tagged as Non-Commercial under Foundation Licensing policy. After I have done some studies, I realised that Wikipedia Foundations is moving towards allowing commercialises all images, as such they are acting on behalf of commercial company to require all images loaded with tagging Non-Commercial in all Wiki Project to be removed, including those loaded in local Wiki. You are only allowed to licenses your images under "free content", which specifically allows commercial reuse, example GDLF 1.2. Certain images is exempted under a very narrow EDP ("exemption doctrine policy") definition. If you all already aware about this, please ignore this comment. Hi! Some years ago (in 2008) I received a picture about a most-perfect magic square from the Parshvanath Jain temple in Khajuraho named Chautisa Yantra. According to magic square#India Magic Squares and Cubes By William Symes Andrews, 1908, Open court publish company the square is more then thousand years old / from the 10th-century. There is an additional text above the square. done I hope to receive a translation and/or additional details about this text from contributors on languages from India.

The wiki source code can be used for articles / stubs in languages using these scripts. An anonymous user keeps suggesting that G. Hannelius (吉娜維芙·漢內柳斯) was born in 2002 based on celebriot.com. However that site has a clear disclaimer, which makes it impossible to use it: * The information on CelebRiot can't be guaranteed for accuracy. IMDb and VIAF don't agree with celebriot.com, they both say she was born in 1998. Both sites are more trustworthy. Can someone take action against the anonymous user? Comments and feedback on the planned international LGBT+ Wiki Loves Pride featured picture drive are welcome on the discussion page, see link.
The competition encourages high quality photographs from Pride events and other LGBT+ cultural related images to be released to Wikimedia Commons. The goal is to see a jump in the numbers of LGBT+ cultural related photographs nominated for Featured Picture status on all Wikimedia projects.

Call for Candidates for the Movement Charter Drafting Committee
Movement Strategy announces the Call for Candidates for the Movement Charter Drafting Committee. The Call opens August 2, 2021 and closes September 1, 2021.
The Committee is expected to represent diversity in the Movement. Diversity includes gender, language, geography, and experience. This comprises participation in projects, affiliates, and the Wikimedia Foundation.
English fluency is not required to become a member. If needed, translation and interpretation support is provided. Members will receive an allowance to offset participation costs. It is US$100 every two months.
We are looking for people who have some of the following skills:
- Know how to write collaboratively. (demonstrated experience is a plus)
- Are ready to find compromises.
- Focus on inclusion and diversity.
- Have knowledge of community consultations.
- Have intercultural communication experience.
- Have governance or organization experience in non-profits or communities.
- Have experience negotiating with different parties.
The Committee is expected to start with 15 people. If there are 20 or more candidates, a mixed election and selection process will happen. If there are 19 or fewer candidates, then the process of selection without election takes place.

Delay of the 2021 WMF Board of Trustees election
Dear Wikimedians,
We are reaching out to you today regarding the 2021 Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees election. This election was due to open on August 4th. Due to some technical issues with SecurePoll, the election must be delayed by two weeks. This means we plan to launch the election on August 18th, which is the day after Wikimania concludes.
For information on the technical issues, you can see the Phabricator ticket.
We are truly sorry for this delay and hope that we will get back on schedule on August 18th. We are in touch with the Elections Committee and the candidates to coordinate next steps. We will update the Board election Talk page and Telegram channel as we know more.

自治體應如何參加選舉？
自治體是維基媒體運動重要的組成部分。原定於今年補上的兩個理事會席位在2019年已透過自治體推舉理事會席位流程補上。章程的更改移除了社群席位和自治體席位之間的區別。因此就留下了一個重要的問題：自治體應如何在新席位選擇上參與？
從某種意義上說，這個問題的範圍很廣，答案可能不僅涉及提到的兩個席位，還涉及其他社群和自治體推舉的席位。理事會希望找到一種方法，既可以讓自治體參與並給他們實際代理權，也能在選擇具有頂尖技能、經驗、多樣性和廣泛社群支持的人員方面將結果優化。
我們邀請每個人分享提案並加入徵求反饋頁面上的對話。
由於第三個問題添加較晚，反饋意見的徵求將延長至二月十六日。
