波特兰（英语：Portland）位于缅因湾岸，是美国缅因州最大的城市、坎伯兰县县治。[4]根据美国2000年人口普查，人口为64,249人。[5]这个数字于2020年上升至68,408人。[6]
1632年开埠，1786年改用现名[7]。历史上曾经历四次大火，故其格言为“我将再起”（拉丁语：Resurgam）[8][9]。奥勒冈州的波特兰即取名自此城。[10]
地理与气候
根据2000年人口普查，本城面积为69.44平方英里（179.85平方千米），其中21.31平方英里（55.19平方千米）为陆地，48.13平方英里（124.66平方千米）为水域。[2]
波特兰属于新英格兰典型的大陆性气候，[11]但仍然受大西洋的部分影响。冬季寒冷而漫长，潮湿，日最高气温低于或等于0 °C（32 °F）的平均日数为41天，日最低气温低于或等于−15 °C（5 °F）的平均日数为15天，−20 °C（−4 °F）以下的有3.3天；夏季相对潮湿，日最高气温达30 °C（86 °F）的日数年均只有14天，35 °C（95 °F）以上的气温为罕见。[12]最冷月（1月）均温−4.4 °C（24.0 °F），极端最低气温−39 °C（−39 °F）（1943年2月16日）。[12]最热月（7月）均温21.3 °C（70.4 °F），极端最高气温39 °C（103 °F）（1911年7月4日、1975年8月2日）。[12]无霜期平均为162天（5月1日至10月11日）；可测量降雪通常出现在11月26日到4月4日之间。[12]年均降水量约1,220毫米（48.1英寸），年均降雪量为174厘米（68.7英寸）；1979–80年的降雪量最少，积累降雪量只有70厘米（27.5英寸），1970–71年的降雪量最多，积累降雪量为3.59米（141.5英寸）。[12]
