Get the data

If you want to make a better render of this, you might find the following notes useful:

• Ready generated the honeycomb: http://code.google.com/p/reaction-diffusion/
• I saved the mesh as a VTU file, then opened in ParaView: http://paraview.org
• I ran the Shrink filter to separate the cells.
• ParaView can then export the data in various formats. I took an X3D file into Blender and rendered with the Cycles engine.
