琉璃紫螺（学名：Janthina globosa）[3]，又名 长海蜗牛（学名：Janthina prolongata）[1]， 曾属紫螺科Violetta[3][1]，但现时所有原被分类为紫螺属亚属的物种都被合并回紫螺属[2]。

型态描述

体长不超过40毫米[2][4]，最大的纪录是38.5毫米[5]。螺壳薄，色浅紫蓝[2][4]，近球状[3]。

栖息地

本物种的栖所都不超过水深13米的海域[5]。

分布

本物种为全浮游（英语：Holoplankton）贝类，广泛分布于全世界暖海域[3][2][4]，包括台湾[3][1][6][7][8][9]、中国大陆[3][10]、马来西亚[3][11]、阿拉伯半岛东部[1][12]。
