约翰·托比(英语:John Tooby,1952年7月26日—)是美国人类学家,帮助心理学家妻子勒达·科斯米德斯一起开拓演化心理学领域。[1][2]
生平
出生于明尼苏达州圣保罗。1989年获得哈佛大学生物人类学博士学位,现为加利福尼亚大学圣塔芭芭拉分校人类学教授。1992年他与勒达·科斯米德斯、杰罗姆·巴考共同著作《适应的心灵》。他与勒达·科斯米德斯共同创办和指导演化心理学中心。他目前正在编写一本关于有性生殖和遗传系统演变的书。[3]
