咪咪出生於洛杉磯，她具有希臘的血統，父親吉姆·集普納（英语：Jim Gianopulos）（Jim Gianopulos)為製作人，並有兩個妹妹^[2]。咪咪第一次出演的電影為2007年的《小馬英豪（英语：Moondance Alexander）》（Moondance Alexander)。
