Budgie 是一个独立、免费、开源的桌面环境，适用于 Linux 和其他面向桌面的类 Unix 操作系统。 Budgie 是由 Buddies of Budgie 组织开发的，该组织由来自 Fedora、Debian 和 Arch Linux 等 Linux 发行版的贡献者团队组成。其设计强调简单、简约和优雅，同时提供以各种方式扩展或自定义桌面的方法。与 Cinnamon 等桌面环境不同，Budgie 没有参考平台，建议所有附带 Budgie 的发行版设置最适合其所需用户体验的默认值。

应用
Budgie桌面与GNOME栈紧密结合并使用其技术以提供简洁的体验。Budgie应用程序通常使用GTK，标题栏也与GNOME应用程序类似。除此之外，Budgie在用户工作室自动构建喜爱列表，在用户使用时将分类与应用程序移至菜单顶部。.[2]
历史
Budgie起初作为Evolve OS Linux发行版的默认桌面环境，其早期版本过于缓慢且容易崩溃。[3]但随着时间的推移，速度与可靠性均得到了提升。[4]在Evolve OS更名为Solus后，[5]Budgie的开发进度不断加速。
Budgie v1于2014年2月18日发布，v10于2015年12月27日发布。命名标准在这段期间发生了更改，现最新发布版本为10.6。

评价
Budgie 普遍受到好评，评论指出其吸引人的视觉设计和直观的布局。Bertel King 在 2018 年写道，“Budgie 感觉就像有人继承了 GNOME 的优点，剔除了所有不太好的东西，设置了一些很棒的默认选项，然后将其发布到世界各地。”然而，King 也认为这是一个负面因素，他写道 Budgie“感觉更像是 GNOME 的定制版本，而不是一个单独的实体。”[24] John Perkins 认为 Budgie 是“一个漂亮的桌面，旨在提供合理的默认设置和漂亮的界面” ，同时也提到 Solus 以外的发行版上的可用性有限。[25]
