Gor是美國作家John Norman在1960年代先後完成的一系列反地球小說。以其包含哲學、情色和奇幻色彩的寫作風格而出名。本書最主要也最有名的特色為高度的父權社會架構，女性在Gor的世界中常被高度奴隸化。依據科幻小說百科全書的評價，Norman的「性哲學」是「廣為厭惡的」[1]。儘管受到女權組織及媒體的高度抨擊，本書無庸置疑的啟發了一系列的次文化[2][2]。

劇情設置

Gor是一個在太陽系內的適居星球，與地球共用相同軌道，不過相位剛好是地球的相反，因此地球人受到太陽遮擋無法直接觀測到Gor。在小說中，Gor星球上的動植物都有詳細的描述。依據小說描述，最早Gor上的一切物種都是由一群長得像蟲子'的「祭司王」利用太空船所帶到Gor上的，Gor上的人類也是如此。

Gor世界的科技無法用地球的編年予以歸類。Gor人們在建築、農業和醫學(包括延長壽命)上相當的先進，但是在交通、通訊、軍事(武器科技停留在相當於地球的古希臘時期)上卻受到祭司王的限制而較為落後。這些對人類科技上的限制是祭司王確保Gor世界不被好戰的人類所摧毀的方式[3]。

Gor星球的天然重力場非常微弱，主要依賴祭司王的科技才能夠提升為勉強可以居住的等級。因此在Gor世界中讀者經常可以發現有超大型的飛行生物和連接城市的空橋。已知的Gor世界只占全星球的一小部分。在已知的世界中，西方有從貫穿到北的Thassa洋，東方則是Voltai山脈。大多數的人類都居住於兩者之間的大陸中，不過在海中小島和山以東仍有極少數人類聚落。「Gor」這個字在Gorean語(在Gor北部的一種語言)中本身的意思是「家之石」。
