I'm a Chinese Taiwanese who has lived most of my life in Taiwan and have worked closely with indigenous activists in Taiwan. I'm currently studying in Cambridge MA, USA. I see endeavors such as the Free Software Movement, Wikipedia, and indigenous activism alike, as these are all counter-hegemonic alternative community-building processes. I would like to explore the potential of such community-initiated efforts in establishing alternative models that can release us from dominant systems.

我是一個出生並成長在台灣的漢人，過去長期以來關心台灣原住民族運動，目前就讀於美國麻州某校。我認為自由軟體、維基百科和原住民族運動這些看似不同的議題事實上有一個共同的特性， 亦即他們都是一種反霸權的另類社群組織行動。我希望能夠從這個角度來瞭解這些建立另類社群的努力如何能夠讓我們在目前主宰我們生活的各種系統之外，提供我們對於世界不同的想像。
