拉丁学校

拉丁学校是14世纪至19世纪流行于欧洲的一种语法学校,其教学重点在学习拉丁文的语法及其运用(这是三艺博雅教育的基础)。它并非仅招收贵族子弟,很多中产阶级家庭也会把拉丁学校作为晋升之阶,这在他们寻求教会的工作时尤其重要[1]。后来由于本国语言地位的提升,拉丁学校渐渐消失。[2]

拉丁学校的教材主要是古典和部分中世纪作者的作品(大多为寓言和诗歌)。学生们要学会“Ars Dictaminis”的原则,即如何写作正式的信件[3]
