第二次提克里特之战于2015年3月2日－4月17日进行，伊拉克安全部队及反伊斯兰国民兵击败伊斯兰国武装分子，收复萨拉赫丁省首府提克里特。

战役前准备

2015年2月初，伊拉克部队与盟友开始准备进攻提克里特，并于附近的萨迈拉集结部队。[22]

以人数计，参与行动的联军部队大部分是什叶派民兵。[23][24]

战役开始前，提克里特的居民大多数已逃到库尔德族自治区或巴格达等地。[25]联合国估计自针对伊斯兰国的攻势开始后，约28,000名平民已逃至萨迈拉。[26]

进攻

包围

2015年3月2日，伊拉克政府发起旨在收复提克里特的大规模军事行动，[32]出动 20,000－30,000人和空军，从三面进攻提克里特。[33]

伊斯兰国武装分子在通往提克里特的各条路径布下大量简易爆炸装置，并部署大量狙击手，引致联军进展缓慢。[34][35]

3月9日，联军攻占提克里特东北方的Al-Alam，切断守军与伊拉克北部伊斯兰国控制区的最后陆上联系，完成对提克里特的包围。伊斯兰国武装分子伤亡惨重，[36]防守提克里特的战士仅余下2,000－3,000人。[17][36]

攻入市区

地面的攻城行动于3月11日开始。[37]政府官员次日宣称已收复四分之三城区。[38][39][40]

3月13日，据报伊斯兰国仍然控制该市的一半部分，地面攻势受阻。[37]到3月14日，在市中心的伊斯兰国分子据报已减至1,000人左右。[41]等待援军的伊拉克部队暂时停止推进。[42]

联盟空袭

4月2日，伊拉克部队收复更多地方，包括前总统萨达姆的官邸。[53]

肃清市内残余抵抗

4月4日，市内局势据报已经稳定下来。[54]不过在4月5日有报道指城内仍有500名伊斯兰国成员在数处持续抵抗。[55]在接下来的数天战斗持续。[56]4月7日，一间设置了诡雷陷阱的房屋爆炸，在提克里特领导反爆炸品部门的Thamer al-Hamdani准将丧生。[57]在4月7日至8日，据报有79名伊斯兰国分子在提克里特被杀。[58][59][60]

4月12日，伊拉克政府宣布提克里特市内已经没有伊斯兰国分子存在。不过安全部队于4月17日在市内发现匿藏的130名伊斯兰国分子，并予以歼灭。[61]

3月20日，据报已有1,000名政府一方的战斗人员在战役的早期阶段阵亡。[18]本次攻势的指挥官Abdul al-Wahab al-Saadi中将表示直至3月30日已有450－750名伊斯兰国武装分子被杀。[17]
