詹姆斯·麦可·贝（英语：James Michael Bay^[1]，1990年9月4日—）是一位英国创作型歌手^[2]^[3]及吉他手。^[4]他已发行了几张迷你专辑与一张专辑《喧嚣与寂静（英语：Chaos and the Calm）》。这张专辑曾登上英国榜冠军及美国榜第15名。单曲〈忍住泪〉（Hold Back The River）也曾登上英国单曲榜第2名。贝在2015年获得全英音乐奖的乐评人选择奖。^[5]

早年生活

贝自幼在英格兰哈特福郡希钦生活，并进入希钦男子学校（英语：Hitchin Boys' School）就读。11岁时，贝在听到艾瑞克·克莱普顿的〈Layla〉后受到启发，开始弹奏古典吉他。他在七年后搬往布莱顿进入布莱顿现代音乐学院（英语：Brighton Institute of Modern Music）就学后，^[4]从城市的开放麦克风之夜演奏中学到了更多，当他谈到这件事时曾说到“这让我受益匪浅，像是创作、自我演出或是努力坚持自我”。^[6]

贝从布莱顿现代音乐学院休学后，透过一位粉丝在Youtube上传他在伦敦开放麦克风之夜的演出影片，得到了共和唱片A&R的关注，并在一周之内便被唱片公司签下。他的首张迷你专辑《The Dark of the Morning》于2013年发行。不到一年，他便举办了他的首场英国专场演唱会。^[6]

职业生涯

贝在2013年7月18日发行他的首张迷你专辑《The Dark of the Morning》。他的第二张迷你专辑《Let It Go（英语：Let It Go (James Bay song)）》于2014年5月12日推出。^[7]这张《Let It Go》迷你专辑空降十大iTunes专辑榜，^[8]且主打单曲〈Let It Go（英语：Let It Go (James Bay song)）〉在2014年9月27日登上英国榜第62名。^[9]

贝曾在巴宝莉伸展台上现场演唱，也录制了一段巴宝莉不插电原创音乐（Burberry Acoustic）版本的歌曲。^[10]贝在2014年与赫齐尔一同巡回演出。^[11]

他与制作人贾奎尔·金（英语：Jacquire King）合作，在纳许维尔的黑鸟工作室（Blackbird Studios）录制了他的首张专辑《喧嚣与寂静（英语：Chaos and the Calm）》。^[12]
