北美蛩蠊 ( 学名 : Grylloblatta campodeiformis ) 是蛩蠊科下的一种昆虫，也是该科第一个被发现并描述的物种。[1]与其他同科的物种一样，北美蛩蠊是无翅的杂食动物，只生存在北美洲。目前因气候变化、栖息地缩减而濒临灭绝。[2]
特征
成虫体长约3厘米(不包含产卵器和尾毛)，是身形细长的无翅昆虫。体色呈均匀的淡黄色，身上覆盖短毛。头部扁平圆润，胸部细长，腹部分为10节。腿长，大颚发达、线状的触角长约9毫米，约24到27节。[3]
习性
分布在美国及加拿大纬度较高的地区，栖居于冰河、岩石及潮湿的碎石坡附近。[4]它们通常在夜间活动，在接近冰点的温度下最为活跃。[2]
