國際通貨符號（¤）是用於表示未指定的通貨的符號。也稱作scarab。[1]也用於字符集沒有指定通貨符號時的代用品。 Unicode編碼U+00A4 ¤ CURRENCY SIGN ，HTML：¤ ¤，Windows Alt+0164。
歷史
1972年ISO 646引入這個字符。[2] 意大利建議用作美元符的可選替代。[3]
法語鍵盤支持此符號。[4]
指示意義
適宜應用，例如¤12.50解釋為某種通貨的12.5個單位，但此種通貨未指明，依賴於上下文可能知道是哪種通貨。
國際貿易中，常用ISO 4217的通貨三字符代碼，而不是通貨符號，以免不同字符集對同一字符解釋不同。
