外籍人士前往巴西需要到巴西駐世界各地使領館（英語：List of diplomatic missions of Brazil）辦理並出示簽證後才能入境，除非該國公民有資格免簽入境。

免簽證

下列國家或地區的普通護照持有人在停留巴西90天內無需簽證（除非另有說明）。在某些情況下，可以使用身份證件代替護照。[1][2]

1 - 對於克羅地亞、芬蘭、法國、愛爾蘭、波蘭、葡萄牙、羅馬尼亞、斯洛伐克、西班牙和英國的國民，最長可停留90天。對於其他歐盟公民，則可以在6個月內最多停留3個月。[3]
2 - 180天內最多停留90天
3 - 最多停留30天
4 - 最多停留60天
ID - 可以用身份證入境

免簽證僅限於與訪問簽證相同的訪問目的，如旅遊，商務，過境，藝術和體育活動。[92]

只要旅客不離開國際轉運區，任何國籍的公民機場過境都不需要簽證。[92]

西班牙國民特別需要持有每天至少170巴西雷亞爾的足夠資金證明，還有經確認的酒店住宿證明或巴西居民的經公證的邀請函，以及其證明下一個目的地。出差旅行的人士，持有公司原件信並註明出訪目的的情況下可免除提供這些資料。[2]

對於雙重國籍的巴西公民，可以持有他國的護照以及任何證明巴西國籍的文件（例如巴西身份證或巴西護照過期）進出巴西。[93]如果他們不提供此類文件，則他們仍可以外國人身份進入巴西，但要遵守巴西簽證政策。[94][95]但是，通常只有在持有人的其他國籍不需要的簽證入境巴西時，這種情況才有可能。巴西僅在特殊情況下才會向具有雙重國籍的巴西公民簽發簽證，例如那些在外國政府工作而禁止使用巴西護照的人。[96]

除安道爾、澳大利亞、加拿大、列支敦士登、摩納哥、新西蘭和美國以外，免簽證入境（以上所列）的國家的外交或公務護照的持有人也不需要簽證。

此外，還有阿爾及利亞、安哥拉、阿塞拜疆、貝寧、博茨瓦納、布基納法索、布隆迪、柬埔寨、喀麥隆、佛得角、中國、剛果、多米尼加共和國、埃及、赤道幾內亞、埃塞俄比亞、加蓬、加納、 幾內亞比紹、海地、印度、象牙海岸、約旦、肯尼亞、吉爾吉斯斯坦、老撾、黎巴嫩、馬拉維、馬里、毛里塔尼亞、摩爾多瓦、莫桑比克、緬甸、尼泊爾、尼日利亞、阿曼、卡塔爾、聖盧西亞、聖多美和普林西比、塞內加爾 、斯里蘭卡、蘇丹、坦桑尼亞、多哥、越南和讚比亞外交和公務護照不需要簽證。古巴、伊朗、巴基斯坦和烏茲別克斯坦的僅外交護照不需要簽證。[1]

未來的變化

巴西已與以下國家/地區簽署了免簽協議，但有待批准或執行：

2019年10月，巴西政府宣佈打算單方面免除中國和印度國民的訪客簽證要求。[104]

旅遊簽證

申請要求及入境目的
  • 旅遊
  • 探親訪友
  • 參加無償的運動、藝術類活動或者競賽
  • 參加由研究或學術機構組織的科學研討會或會議（需提供在巴西機構邀請函）
條款與條件
  • 旅遊簽證持有人嚴禁在巴西從事有償或無償工作，也不適用於學習目的。
  • 在巴西停留的期限通常為90天，簽證過期前，訪客可向巴西聯邦警察局申請延期90天，巴西聯邦警察局將視情批准延期時間。自首次入境之日起連續12個月內，訪客最多可在巴西逗留180天。
  • 對於尚未與巴西建交的國家，例如科索沃、西撒哈拉，但不包括台灣，使領館工作人員會將申請人的護照以通行證看待。[106]

過境簽證

此簽證與旅遊簽證的相關要求一致。另外申請人需提供前往目的國的機票、有效護照以及目的國領事機構簽發的簽證（如有需要），此簽證有效期最多為10天（單次入境）。

文化和學術簽證

申請要求
  • 進行巴西外交部承認的國際合作項目下的科學或技術活動
  • 外國科學家、教授、研究人員及其他專業人士參加確定日期、議程的會議或研討會，不超過30天且不能延期，並可收取一定酬勞
  • 在巴西大學、研究所或類似機構內進行講學、研究以及科學技術合作活動，且未在巴西簽訂工作合同
  • 國際交流機構項目下的交換學生（初中或高中交流項目）
  • 作為享受由巴西政府機構、國際組織或經授權的學生交換機構提供獎學金的見習生或無償實習生
  • 作為年輕業餘運動員在巴西接受訓練（年齡在14至21周歲之間）
  • 接受關於巴西產機器設備的操作和/或維修技術培訓
  • 特殊情況下，需要在巴西治療疾病的
  • 無勞動合同，為宗教團體，社會服務組織或非營利非政府組織提供社區服務和參與志願活動的
條款與條件
  • 持有人禁止在巴西進行有償工作。教授、科學家或研究員在大學、研究所或類似機構開展活動或作為有償發言人出席會議時，允許短期內（不超過30天）接受巴西方提供的報酬、允許巴西方提供獎學金、允許旅行、住宿和生活費由他人提供。
  • 當計劃逗留超過90天時，臨時一類簽證持有人須在抵達巴西30天內到巴西移民局登記，提交護照及由本館歸還申請人的簽證申請表原件。
  • 所提交的巴西文件必須在巴西經過公證。

商務簽證

申請要求
  • 以商討產品及服務的銷售或採購、簽定進出口定單、開拓投資機會為目的的短期商務訪問。
  • 研討會或者貿易/工業展覽會的觀眾或展商。
  • 記者（短期訪問的非常駐記者）
  • 媒體報道、電影製作
  • 無國際船員證或機組人員證的船員或機組人員，如需在離岸船隻上工作，則必須申請工作簽證。
條款與條件

本簽證持有人最長可在巴西停留90天。

運動員/藝術家簽證

運動員/藝術家簽證適用於外國公民作為演藝人士和體育人士得到來自巴西的資助但不打算在巴西工作，以及從事娛樂的技術人員和專業人士，特別是作為某藝術家的助手參加某活動，但不打算受聘於該國的任何個人或法人實體的人士。自首次入境之日起，臨時三類簽證有效期最長為90天；該簽證可在聯邦警察局延期90天。

學生簽證

學生簽證適用於被巴西教育和文化部認可的高等院校錄取的學生（無論有無獎學金），赴巴西學習的包括交換生在內的任何年級本科生或研究生須申請此種簽證。

特殊短期停留簽證

申請要求
  • 申請人與巴西公司不存在僱傭關係；
  • 在巴西停留期限不超過90天；
  • 工作內容必須為技術交換或技術類支持。

工作簽證

申請要求
  • 提供各種性質的服務，包括公司內部的，即外國公民受僱於總部設在巴西的經濟集團；
  • 為巴西政府提供服務，特別是根據巴西參與的國際協議所提供的服務；
  • 持巴西勞動合同的工作，時間不超過2年；
  • 無論有無合同(RN61/04)情況下，提供不超過90天的技術服務支持，如對銷售到巴西的機器設備進行安裝、裝配或維修；
  • 外國公司員工赴其巴西子公司進行培訓或實習，且其報酬僅由該外國公司在巴西以外支付；
  • 剛結束大學學習或職業學習後，外國公民在非正式僱傭的情況下接受職業培訓；
  • 科學家、研究人員、教授；
  • 外國教師赴巴西教授外語；
  • 船員和其他石油/天然氣專家在巴西水域提供服務；
  • 在巴西公司租用的漁船上工作的船員；
  • 在巴西水域上運營的郵輪船員，其他在巴西海岸線、亞馬遜河流域及其它內陸水運航道運營的郵輪上的有償專業人員；
  • 在巴西教育部認可的教育機構或醫院進行駐院實習；
  • 職業運動員。

常駐媒體記者簽證

本簽證適用於外國媒體（包括平面媒體、廣播或電視新聞工作者），外國政府或商業新聞機構人員。有效期最長可達4年；簽證到期前一個月，申請人可在巴西向聯邦警察局申請提出延期請求。

傳教士/宗教人士簽證

本簽證適用於作為宗教人士的外國人前往巴西從事宗教活動或宗教學習，該簽證需經巴西外交部審核。

永久簽證

巴西的永久簽證可分為永久簽證-家庭團聚、永久簽證-普通法伴侶臨時或永久簽證、永久簽證-長期工作簽證、永久簽證–投資類、永久簽證– 退休類等類型。

2014年世界盃足球賽特別簽證政策

任何參加2014年世界盃足球賽相關活動的外國公民，可簽發特殊臨時類簽證，免收簽證申請費。[107]

2016年奧運會特別簽證政策

2016年夏季奧林匹克運動會期間，所有遊客均可獲得免除入境簽證並逗留90天的待遇。[108]
