斯卡爾鯨屬是一屬已滅絕的鯨目動物[3]，該屬大部分種類在中新世的歐洲生活，但有少數化石於澳大利亞和新西蘭發現。因為過去掠食性抹香鯨的化石記錄相對匱乏，許多很可能並不相關的牙齒化石都被歸入該屬，使該屬的成為了一個垃圾箱類群，也可能在一定程度上誇大了該屬的地理分佈。
