洛杉磯動物園（Los Angeles Zoo）是位於美國加利福尼亞州洛杉磯的一座動物園，由洛杉磯市運營，2002年改名為洛杉磯動物園和植物園（Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens）。
歷史
洛杉磯的第一座動物園是1912年開業的格里斐斯公園動物園（Griffith Park Zoo），它在1966年關閉，原址上建起了現在的洛杉磯動物園，1966年11月28日正式開園[4]。1992年1月公園水管爆炸，導致半個動物園缺水，市政府隨即宣佈將花費3億美元翻修動物園基礎設施[5]。
事件
1979年，一匹叫做弗吉尼亞（Virginia）的狼曾多次從動物園逃脫，其中一次逃脫後在格里斐斯公園藏了一個月才被找到[6]。1990年代和2000年代，洛杉磯動物園發生過30多起動物逃跑事件，逃跑的動物包括斑馬、黑猩猩、袋鼠、羚羊[7]以及逃跑過五次的大猩猩伊芙琳（Evelyn）。[7] 它正在重新審視有關如何將小黑猩猩引入部落的政策。[8]
