向日葵族（Heliantheae）是菊科的第三大族，底下收納大約190屬的已確認的近2500種，多分佈於北美洲與南美洲。 向日葵族的學名就是古希臘語向日葵的意思。
向日葵族通常是草本或灌木，有的會長成小喬木。其葉子常帶有絨毛、對生。其花葯通常是黑色的。
用途
向日葵族中具有經濟價值的植物有向日葵、洋姜、黑心金光菊、金光菊、劍葉金雞菊、大花金雞菊、兩色金雞菊和黃花松果菊。
除了有用植物，向日葵族中也有野草，如豚草。豚草每年放出大量的黃色霧狀花粉，可引發枯草熱、花粉症及其他呼吸道疾病和國民疾病等。每株每年可生7至10萬枚種子，是人類最大的過敏原之一。
