	长毛犰狳的分布

长毛犰狳（学名：Chaetophractus vellerosus）是一种犰狳。^[2]^[3]在南美洲的中部及南部生活，惯于挖地洞，受惊时会发出尖叫声。^[1]^[3]

本物种有两个亚种，分别是^[4]：

Subspecies Chaetophractus vellerosus pannosus (Thomas, 1902)
Subspecies Chaetophractus vellerosus vellerosus (Gray, 1865)：指名亚种。

2015年一项研究发现本物种的指名亚种跟密毛犰狳除了在体型上有些微差异，无论是形态学上从两者的头骨比较还是遗传学上都无法分辨两者^[1]^[5]^[6]^[7]。因此，密毛犰狳很可能只是长毛犰狳的指名亚种的异名，而整个毛犰狳属亦很可能是一个多系群^[6]^[7]。IUCN目前已删了密毛犰狳的纪录^[5]。
