條目增長

Announcing Wikipedia 1.19 beta

Wikimedia Foundation is getting ready to push out 1.19 to all the WMF-hosted wikis. As we finish wrapping up our code review, you can test the new version right now on beta.wmflabs.org. For more information, please read the release notes or the start of the final announcement.

The following are the areas that you will probably be most interested in:

  • Faster loading of javascript files makes dependency tracking more important.
  • New common*.css files usable by skins instead of having to copy piles of generic styles from MonoBook or Vector's css.
  • The default user signature now contains a talk link in addition to the user link.
  • Searching blocked usernames in block log is now clearer.
  • Better timezone recognition in user preferences.
  • Improved diff readability for colorblind people.
  • The interwiki links table can now be accessed also when the interwiki cache is used (used in the API and the Interwiki extension).
  • More gender support (for instance in logs and user lists).
  • Language converter improved, e.g. it now works depending on the page content language.
  • Time and number-formatting magic words also now depend on the page content language.
  • Bidirectional support further improved after 1.18.

Report any problems on the labs beta wiki and we'll work to address them before they software is released to the production wikis.

建立維基共享資源台灣的設想

由於URAA，不少維基共享資源的作品有問題。有人提出在別國建立另一個維基共享資源，又有人提出，維基媒體基金會是美國公司，應遵守美國法律。我想，如果由中華民國維基媒體協會建立一個維基共享資源台灣，一切用戶資料和規則與維基共享資源相同，只是服務器設在台灣，遵守中華民國法律（中華民國的版權保護是死亡後50年，而美國是70年），資金由维基媒体基金会撥出給中華民國維基媒體協會，如何？--王小朋友 (留言) 2012年1月20日 (五) 14:47 (UTC)

Deletion requests有人提到言论自由的问题，台湾是言论自由之地。老挝是仅存的个位数共产主义国家之一，共产主义统治下绝无自由。马绍尔群岛是新建立的国家，以后有可能实行版权法，而且有可能带宽贵。--王小朋友 (留言) 2012年1月20日 (五) 18:38 (UTC)

Taiwan's copyright length is 50 years while U.S. is 70 years. I suggest Wikimedia may fund Wikimedia Taiwan to establish Commons Taiwan, services of which placed in Taiwan, where is a free country. In Commons Taiwan, user database as well as most of user guidelines will as same as Commons international.

And make some cache services for sister projects in Taiwan to accelerate China and Japan's visiting speed if possible.

台灣版權目前是50年，看似很寬鬆，實際上政府相關單位會用其他規定來「繞過」。例如台北故宮文物「平面圖像」的版權（畫作、書法類，例如「清明上河圖」），照道理是PD（公有領域），然而依法規定，台北故宮可以像英國國家肖像館（詳情見此）一樣收取「權利金」，既使使用圖像是「非營利用途」、「教育目的」、「學術論文」，台北故宮都可以收費，只是價格會不一樣。授權金價目表：國立故宮博物院珍貴動產衍生（文化創意）產品管理及收費規定，相關說明：國立故宮博物院網站圖像資料授權說明。其他相關資訊可參考：出版與圖像授權。維基使用故宮文物的圖像非常多，影響範圍會很廣。台灣在版權方面目前趨向保守，政府不願主動推動開放資料、數位典藏計畫的圖像使用授權包括「非商業利用-禁止改作」、公有領域的電子書甚少，諸多限制由此可見。台灣常常會「效法」美國趨勢，就是說美國的法案，台灣也會「借鏡」，所以台灣的版權法也可能會跟著收縮。另外，散布「裸露」圖片在台灣的網站（主機在台灣）是會被警方查緝的，相關案例很多。台灣還是有網路言論因為誹謗而興訟，言論自由可能會稍微比美國略低。如果維基共享資源在台灣設立的伺服器包含維基共享資源「所有的圖像」，中華民國維基媒體協會吃上官司的可能性會很高。--章·安德魯 (留言) 2012年1月20日 (五) 19:54 (UTC)
我所设想的Commons Taiwan只收录作者逝世50～70年以及其他美国法律不允许，中华民国法律允许的图像，台北故宫的图像不属于此范围，继续在美国的Commons保存。我写道 In Commons Taiwan, user database as well as most of user guidelines will as same as Commons international.，因此按照中华民国法律修改方针，色情图像可以不允许。（我想问一下，台湾连教育性的裸露图片也不允许吗？）作者逝世50～70年的作品几乎不可能出现诽谤在世人物的内容。--王小朋友 (留言) 2012年1月21日 (六) 04:54 (UTC)
