LineageOS（也称Lineage OS、Lineage OS Android Distribution）是一个面向智慧型手机和平板电脑的自由、免费、开放原始码的Android系统分支。它是深受欢迎的定制ROM CyanogenMod的继任者。[2]它在2016年12月Cyanogen公司突然宣布停止开发并关闭项目基础设施后复刻而生。[3][4]LineageOS于2016年12月24日正式启动，其原始码存放于GitHub。[5]
由于Cyanogen公司保留了使用Cyanogen名称的权利，因此计画复刻后更名为LineageOS。[6]
背景
CyanogenMod（常简称为“CM”）是一个非常流行的[7]基于Android行动装置平台，为智慧型手机和平板电脑而设的免费开放原始码操作系统。虽然只有部分CyanogenMod使用者选择回报使用该系统，[8]但截至2015年3月23日，一些报告指出已有超过5000万人在他们的手机上装载CyanogenMod。[7][9]它也常被其他ROM的开发者作为二次订制新系统的基础。[来源请求]
2013年，CM的创始人史蒂夫·科迪克获得名为Cyanogen公司的风险融资，使这项计划得以商业化。[10][11]但他认为公司没能成功地运用、发展这项计画，于是他在2016年（可能被迫）离职[12][13]。作为公司重组的一部分，这涉及到更换首席执行长（CEO）、关闭办事处，停止计画及相关服务。[14]不过由于代码本身属于开放原始码并极为热门，因此很快地以新名字LineageOS复刻，并作为社群项目继续开发。
CyanogenMod及继任者LineageOS会提供装置制造商搭载的官方韧体中尚未内建/开放的功能选项，它支援的功能特色包含：
- 布景主题架构[15]（13及以前版本）
- Trebuchet主页，以原始的Android启动器改良（12起整体功能简化）
- FLAC音讯编码/解码器
- 更大的存取点名称清单
- 隐私守卫，管理每个应用程式的权限（15.1起整合为“安全中心”，17.1改用Permission Hub）[16]
- 安全锁，保护每个应用程式
- 透过通用端口共享网路
- CPU超频与其他效能强化（部分型号提供）
- 可解锁的启动程式
- Root权限管理
- Pie Control扇形手势操作（部分型号提供）
- 自订导览列/虚拟按键功能及排序
- 自订状态列的电池图示、百分比、时钟位置、上传/下载速率指示器等
- 自订通知面板内的快速设定，例如Wi-Fi、蓝牙、GPS、手电筒等
- 一次清除所有最近使用的应用程式
- 快速启动捷径，可将预设的Google即时资讯（如有安装Gapps）更换为最多3个特殊功能，例如休眠、萤幕截图、开启应用程式等（12及以前版本）
- 更多的锁定萤幕选项，可显示天气资讯、音乐播放效果、应用程式捷径等
- 延伸桌面（Expanded desktop），个别隐藏状态列/导览列
- 夜间模式（Night mode），内附数款主色彩可供切换
- LiveDisplay，可依据环境调整萤幕色温
- 内建萤幕录影工具
- LED指示灯设定（须装置硬体支援）
- 系统设定档
- 其他使用者介面的改善
其中大多数功能（或采用不同方式实作的类似功能）存在一段时间后被整合至Android原始码。此外，部分功能也有可能随著版本推进而被变更或移除。
据开发者表示，CyanogenMod本身不包含间谍软体和臃肿的客制软体，[17][18]因此也被认为拥有比官方韧体更佳的效能与可靠度。[19]
与CyanogenMod不同的是，LineageOS的Root权限将不再“内建于系统中”，使用者仍可额外安装.zip格式的元件或Magisk并启用。[20]
开发
这项计画使用Gerrit完成其代码审查流程。LineageOS保留了CyanogenMod所用的版本控制格式（例如Android 7.1为LineageOS 14.1）。
许多来自XDA的开发者依据其原始码编译了非官方版本的Lineage OS。[21]
LineageOS正在开发一个名为“FlipFlap”的专属功能，并为翻盖提供相容性和新功能。对于某些三星装置可能还具有模拟翻盖。[22]
