希羅平均數

數學上，希羅平均數（英語：Heronian mean）是指兩個非負實數的一種平均數，公式為

H={\frac {1}{3}}\left(A+{\sqrt {AB}}+B\right).

H={\frac {2}{3}}\cdot {\frac {A+B}{2}}+{\frac {1}{3}}\cdot {\sqrt {AB}}.

應用

用以計算稜台或圓台的體積，此體積等於稜台或圓台的高乘以兩底面面積的希羅平均數：

V={\frac {h}{3}}(B_{1}+B_{2}+{\sqrt {B_{1}B_{2}}})

$B 1$ 是一個底面的面積， $B 2$ 是另一個底面的面積。
