西拉语(也称西达语^[3])是一种在老挝和越南由约2,000人使用的彝语(Bradley 1997)。西拉族在越南被承认为一个单独的民族。

分布

据Edmondson(2002)，越南约有700名西拉族人生活在下列3个村庄。

据老年西拉人，7个西拉家族在175年前从老挝丰沙里省芒坞和芒叶迁来。他们最初抵达一处叫芒松的地方，到现居地前又经历了数次搬迁。
