米高·約瑟夫·瑞安 [1]（英語：Michael J. Ryan，1965年—）是愛爾蘭前創傷外科醫師和現流行病學家，長期在世界衛生組織任職[2][3]。
早年生活和教育
瑞安在愛爾蘭國立大學戈爾韋分校接受醫學訓練，[1]在蘇格蘭接受骨科培訓，並在都柏林大學學院獲得碩士學位。[2][5]
1990年7月，瑞安與女友移居伊拉克，為當地醫生提供培訓。不久伊拉克入侵科威特，在此期間瑞安因車禍導致椎骨骨折。[1][6]最終瑞恩和他的妻子離開伊拉克。瑞安的背部傷勢使他無法擔任外科醫生，於是他轉向關注公共衛生和傳染病領域。[3][7]
1996年，瑞安加入世界衛生組織，從事應對流行病和傳染病工作。[1][2]2001年，瑞安來到烏干達，負責應對當地伊波拉疫情。[8]2005年至2011年，瑞安擔任世衛組織全球警報和響應行動主任。[2]
2011年，瑞安離開世衛組織，返回愛爾蘭戈爾韋，參與全球消滅脊灰行動（GPEI）的工作，直到2017年他再度返回世衛組織。[1][3]
2019年，瑞安擔任世界衛生組織緊急醫療計劃的執行主任。[2][9]瑞安在2019冠狀病毒病疫情期間領導團隊應對疫情。[2][3]
除了在世衛組織的工作外，瑞安還曾在都柏林大學學院擔任國際衛生教授。[5]
個人生活
1988年，瑞安結識了瑪麗·康諾利（Máire Connolly）。他們於1997年結婚。[10] 康諾利是愛爾蘭國立戈爾韋大學的健康安全和傳染病教授，[11]還曾在世界衛生組織工作過。[1][8][12]他們共有三個孩子。
