密西西比州是位於美國南部的州，其市鎮共分為城市、城鎮、村三種類別，而市鎮的類別一般按建立之時的人口而定：多於2,000人為城市、介乎301人至2,000人為城鎮、少於300人則為村。然而，由於州政府規定新市鎮的人口必須多於300人，現時已無法建立新的村。某地區若要申請成為市鎮，需要向衡平法院遞交由當地三分之二以上合資格選民共同簽署的請願書，而請願書須詳細列明市鎮的邊界、名稱、預測人口、建立原因等信息，經法院批准後方可建市。市鎮的主要功能包括維修道路及天橋、制訂法律，提供消防、醫療、衛生等服務。

Z-8“布鲁诺·海涅曼”号是德国国家海军暨战争海军于1930年代中期建造的十六艘1934级驱逐舰的八号舰。该舰于1938年1月8日交付使用。在第二次世界大战爆发之初，Z-8号曾负责检查行经的中立國船舶是否搭载有違禁品，但最終在1942年時撞上兩枚水雷而沉沒。
