陛下之71號潛艇（德語：SM U 71[註 1]）是德意志帝國海軍建造的UE級潛艇或稱U艇的首艇。它由漢堡的伏爾鏗船廠承建，於1915年10月31日下水，至同年12月20日交付使用（英語：Ship commissioning）。U-71號是在第一次世界大戰期間服役的329艘德國潛艇之一，曾參加過大西洋潛艇戰。在其十二次巡邏中，共擊沉協約國或中立國的17艘商船（14964總噸）和2艘軍艦（2731噸）。1919年2月23日，U-71號被引渡至法國正式投降，並最終於1921年在瑟堡拆解報廢。

設計

U-71號是德意志帝國海軍潛艇局（U-Boot-Inspektion）於1914年底開發的UE級布雷潛艇（UE-I型）的首艇，這是官方設計的第45號方案，計劃具有更長的續航里程以及較短的工期。[8]

U-71號為單殼體（德語：Einhüllenboot）遠洋潛艇，配有鞍形水櫃（英語：Saddle tank (submarine)）。其全長為56.80米；舷寬（英語：Beam (nautical)）5.90米，當中的耐壓殼體（英語：Pressure hull）寬為5米；有4.86米的吃水深度。其水上排水量為755噸，水下為832噸。[9]艇只搭載有可在水上使用的兩台奔馳六缸四衝程（S6 Ln型）柴油發動機，總功率為900匹公制馬力（662千瓦特）；以及可在水下使用的西門子-舒克特（英語：Siemens-Schuckert）雙電動發電機，總功率同樣為900匹公制馬力（662千瓦特）。這些發動機用以驅動雙軸、每根軸各一個直徑1.6米長的螺旋槳，從而使艇只在水上的最高速度達10.6節（19.6公里每小時），在水下的最高航速則為7.9節（14.6公里每小時）。艇只可以7節（13公里每小時）的速度在水上巡航7,880海里（14,590公里），或以4節（7.4公里每小時）的速度在水下巡航83海里（154公里）。它的潛航深度為50米。[2]

艇只在左舷艏部和右舷艉部分別裝備了一具魚雷發射管，可攜帶合共4枚魚雷。兩具管道都位於耐壓殼體外側，因此只有在潛艇浮出水面時才能進行操縱和裝填。它們僅可用於自衛。在司令塔後方的艉部甲板上則裝備有一門88毫米30倍徑速射炮（英語：8.8 cm SK L/30 naval gun）用於水面作戰，自1918年起又替換為威力更大的105毫米45倍徑速射炮（英語：10.5 cm SK L/45 naval gun）。此外，潛艇艉部還設有兩具布雷井道，並可搭載34枚水雷。其標準船員編制為4名軍官及28名水兵。[2]

歷史

U-71號是由德意志帝國海軍作為E項戰時訂單（Kriegsauftrag E）於1915年1月6日向漢堡的伏爾鏗船廠訂購，建造編號為55。艇只於1915年10月31日下水，至同年12月20日在首任艇長、海軍上尉胡戈·施密特（德語：Hugo Schmidt (General)）的指揮下正式交付使用（英語：Ship commissioning）。[3]自1916年4月起，U-71號被分配至北海的第一潛艇區艦隊，並一直隸屬於該部隊至戰爭結束。[10]除施密特外，華瑟·古德上尉（1917年4月20日－11月27日）、奧托·德勒舍上尉（1917年11月28日－1918年1月27日）、里夏德·朔伊倫（德語：Richard Scheurlen）中尉（1918年1月28日－7月29日）和庫爾特·斯萊福格特（德語：Kurt Slevogt）中尉也曾擔任過U-71號艇長。[4][5][6][7]

第一次世界大戰期間，U-71號曾在北海完成十八次巡邏（含布雷任務），共擊沉協約國或中立國的商船17艘，容積總噸為14964噸；另擊沉軍艦2艘（2731噸）和輔助軍艦1艘（309總噸）。[11]被U-71號擊沉的最大型船舶是容積總噸為3553噸的法國客貨輪花神號（Flore），它是從阿爾漢格爾斯克駛向布雷斯特的途中，於1917年7月26日在蘇格蘭費特勒島以東約8海里（15公里）處通過由U-71號佈設的雷區時觸雷沉沒。[12]而被U-71號擊沉的英國皇家海軍軍艦則包括有嚮導艦（英語：Flotilla leader）斯科特號（英語：HMS Scott (1917)）和驅逐艦阿爾斯沃特湖號（英語：HMS Ulleswater (1917)），均為觸雷沉沒。[13][14]
